Our new MIDI Line Driver and Receiver set has been specifically designed for use in the
television industry and incorporates several broadcast specific features.

The transmitter unit has a standard MIDI DIN input with a fully buffered MIDI through output.
The transmitter has a green power LED and when DATA is transmitted a bright red
LED flashes to indicate data pass through.
The transmitter incorporates a receiver test button which, when pressed, sends a test code
to the receiver. The 'OK' LED on the transmitter will only illuminate if the test code is echoed
back to the transmitter. Perfect for a confidence test.

The receiver does not require a power supply as it is line powered by the transmitter.
It also includes a power LED and a DATA LED.

The receiver supplies two buffered MIDI outputs.

The receiver will automatically switch phase if the connecting cable is out of phase.
The data connections will withstand both short circuit and DC voltages up to 60 volts
providing full protection against accidental phantom power connection.

The unit comes as standard with XLR input and output for data connection but can be
specified with RJ45 connectors for use with CAT5.

Maximum distance between the transmitter and receiver is in excess of 400 metres using
reasonable quality connecting cable

Mains supply IEC inlet internally fused. As standard the unit operates from 230Vac but
can be supplied 115Vac on request.
